WHO ARE YOU, WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
Do you want to know if we are professionals or not, and if we master our subject? Excellent question.
Originally, it’s the story of 4 friends, who were looking for a really good mattress…
And a basic question was asked: where do you buy a good mattress without breaking your savings account? We do not know...
Because in business, nothing was worth it.
It’s quite a story, this “ quest for perfect sleep”.
In these 4 people at the origin of the BED REPUBLIC project, each has their own specialty: marketing, sales/supply chain, accounting and products/quality.
Without modesty, yes we know about it: with more than 15 years of experience in mass distribution and furniture , we can say that we "manage".
And one day in our old jobs, we got tired of always hearing the same thing: lower costs = lower product quality, to always sell more products!
This had to be changed.
So we all left our respective jobs for Bed Republic. And since then we've been sleeping better, except when we receive a bunch of orders to process... But that's a good lack of sleep!
Bed Republic today, there is a whole chain of people working on this project: this worker who sculpts the fabrics with her scissors, this technician who puts the finishing touches on a freshly produced sheet, this delivery man who goes with his truck brings together all the orders for the week...
So yes, I promise... we will take a photo when we manage to bring together the 300 or so people who are working directly or indirectly on the project.
WE WANT TO DO BEAUTIFUL AND GOOD
We don't reinvent anything.
We just take the good product that has worked for years , we test it and adjust it to the best possible quality, and we offer it to you.
A sheet that lasts over time, a mattress that makes you regret not sleeping at home this weekend... That's what we want.
We are against disposable products that push you to buy again and again...
WE MAKE, BUT NOT LIKE OTHERS
We don't make thousands of products and then sell them to you; we make a product because you need it, because you ordered it!
As in luxury or tailor-made, we manufacture for you, on demand.
This is what allows us to offer you a super quality product, and to reduce costs.
WE LOVE TO TRAVEL, BUT NOT OUR PRODUCTS
Producing on the other side of the planet, in soulless factories, exploiting people... It's just not for us.
We stay in Europe: we will simply look for the best specialists where they are…
The upholstered box springs are made by 3 craftsmen in a small factory in the south of France.
The mattresses soak up the sun in their factory in Spain.
And for bed linen and towels, we couldn't find better than Portugal...
The big luxury brands know where to make the best, so we did the same.
AND IT'S ONLY JUST STARTED !
Because until now we were focused entirely on European professionals, such as hotels, guest houses, airB&Bs, etc.
But since everyone is asking the question: “how do we buy your products?”
So !
Bed Republic is finally here, since September 2023.
